SEROLOGICAL STUDY OF BOVINE RESPIRATORY SYNCYTIAL VIRUS IN SLOVENIA

Summary
Serologic studies of the incidence of the bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) in cattle in Slovenia have been caried out. The seroneutralisation test and the ELISA were carried out in parallel. It has been established that the virus was more widespread among the Friesian cattle (95.5 % positive) on large publicly owned farms than among brown (41 %) and Simental cattle (57.2 %) on privately owned farms.
